The SEM presents their new Web based on technology Polymita

The Medical Emergency System has released its new Web based on Polymita CollagePortal®, presenting a renewed design and offering new features that improve its usefulness and usability.

The new site also updates the URL to www.sem.gencat.cat  and incorporates a modern style with the purpose of projecting the company’s identity and quality as well as the services it offers.

This new tool aims to facilitate the direct communication with the citizens, as it offers several points of contact: Citizen help-desk, Sanitat Respon, HHRR, administrative contracting and training to Institutions and Companies.

This initiative is in line with SEM’s firm strategy to promote the use of new technologies as support tools for welfare coordination processes, services associated to Sanitat Respon and the company’s own internal and administrative management.

The Medical Emergency System (SEM) was created in 1992 as a public service company of the Health Department of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Regional Catalan Government), and is assigned to the Servei Català de Salut (CatSalut). Its duties consist in attending emergencies (including extra-hospital emergencies), providing urgent health service transport, covering situations of foreseeable risk by means of the 061-service, and supplying healthcare information as well as health-advice through the SANITAT RESPON telephone service.
