The Presidency of the Spanish Government trusts its processes to Polymita

Madrid, July 1, 2009 – The Security Department of the Presidency of the Spanish Government has automated its processes with the implementation of Polymita BPM. The ultimate goal is to increase process and operational efficiency and effectiveness as well as the ability to access the necessary information anytime to facilitate appropriate and agile decision making.

The Security Department of the Presidency of the Spanish Government’s main functions are to protect the President and other personalities during their movements, both national and international. These also include the security and surveillance of the Moncloa complex and the organization and coordination of the emergency and evacuation plans.

The execution and coordination of all its functions are carried out by the General Security Plan which includes all rules, procedures and protocols that were laid out and standardized in 2003 when they received the Honors Award of the “Calidad en la Administración General de Estado”.

Now, with the goal of achieving one more step in the EFQM model, the next stage is being developed within the plan which consists of modeling and automating those protocols with Polymita, and monitoring them in real time.

Today, in less than 24 hours the whole organization is being auto-evaluated and the challenge is to carry out this task in real time. This can be done with the implementation of automated indicators, the detection of anomalies, automatically created alarms and dashboard monitoring allowing more agile and efficient risk prevention.
