Erik Brieva

President & Chief Executive Officer

Serial entrepreneur co-founded Intelligent Software Components S.A. (iSOCO) and Altea Consulting. Board director at Maimai.com, Tertulia Digital, DAA Contenidos Digitales and Tourism Access Line. 
Significant positions during his 16 years experience in the software sector include being the CEO of Polymita, R&D Manager at iSOCO, Key Account Manager at Altea Consulting, Software Engineer at Adbraintage, Researcher and Software Engineer at Middlesex University and the Institute of Materials and Reagents for Electronics. Academic experience includes teaching Computer Programning and Computer Graphics at the University of Havana and Middlesex University.
Erik is licentiate in Cybernetics and Mathematics (University of Havana), MSc Computer Graphics and PhD candidate (Middlesex University), with complementary studies on Business Administration (San Telmo) and Marketing & Sales (Bosel).
Member of the CEO Collaborative Forum (CEO-CF) and the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO); being the Membership Chair for the Spain Chapter. Erik is passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship, and currently offer lectures on these topics invited by different institutions from Spain and Latin America.
 

Luis Ignacio Cortés

Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

Luis Ignacio's 10 years experience in the software sector started with Biz2Peer Technologies, a software company which he established and directed until its merge with Polymita in 2004. He previously worked for nine years in the pharmaceutical industry, where he held several positions including managing a multi-million dollar division of an international pharmaceutical firm and overseeing the rebranding strategy of a large dermatology line, which led to double digits sales growth.
He holds a degree in Business Administration and MBA from ESADE, as well as masters degrees in e-Commerce and e-Business by La Salle University. He also took courses in the USA in Boston University’s MBA program and Brandeis University’s Master in Economics and Finance.
Luis Ignacio is member of ESADE Alumni and serves in the Board of the Spain Chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) as Finance Chair. He has been a lecturer in ESADE, La Salle University and ESAN on entrepreneurship, e-business and business plan creation.
 

Albert Rosell

Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Prior to Polymita, Albert was CTO at Taylor Hobson (UK) for Spain and Portugal during 5 years, developing software and implementing projects for quality assurance of the subsidiary AMETEK (USA). Previously he had prime responsibility of product development and implementation projects of hardware and software at Sariki. Albert has a degree in Computers Architecture. He has been also a Professor of the Master’s degree program in the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and the University of Oviedo.

Albert Bassas

Admin & Finance Manager

MBA (Management School), Albert was during 8 years Financial Controller & CEO of the subsidiary companies of Willett International Ltd. (UK) in Spain and Portugal (Willett Iberia SA & Willett Portugal Ltda.). He also was Administration & Accounting Responsible at the subsidiary company of Silcock Express (UK) in Barcelona. Formerly, he collaborated as Accounting & Financial Advisor of several companies from various industrial sectors and in companies of textiles industry and freight transport. Albert teaches administration management, accounting and finances since 2004 in a professional school.

Sandro Sbertoli

Sales Manager

Sandro has 25 years experience in sales in the technological sector, including being the Sales Director at Origin and Senior Account Manager at Informix Software where he participated in the creation of the Barcelona office to triple its sales. He also has experience in other multinationals like Computer Associates, Hewlett Packard and NCR. As entrepreneur and businessman, Sandro founded Orbit System and was the CEO during 8 years, and also was one of the founding partners of iSOCO and member of the Board of Directors.

Blanca Pons

Marcom Manager

LIC & MBA ESADE, Degree in New Technologies at Les Heures and studying Public Relations at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). With more than 9 years of experience in the mix TIC+ International, Blanca has been Marketing and Communication Manager the Spanish Association of ecommerce and at Oasysoft. She has been US Specialist at Barcelona Chamber of Commerce and has worked in France for DELL Computer EMEA.

Ania Honess

Customer Services Manager

Ania Honess has extensive experience in projects delivery, technical support and customer services. She worked in the UK as a senior consultant and account manager for blue-chip companies, including being Project Manager for MSD Research Laboratories. Academic experience includes lecturing in Systems Analysis and Database Systems in University of Westminster, London. Ania holds a BSc Computer Sciences and Postgraduate Diploma in Database Systems (University of Westminster, London, UK); and Master in English Philology (KUL, Poland).

Pedro Zapata

R+D Manager

MBA from La Salle (Barcelona / New York, USA) and Licentiate Computer Sciences from Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB) with major in computer vision, image processing and artificial intelligence. Pedro Zapata joined Polymita from Intelligent Software Components S.A. (iSOCO) where he was a Senior Software Architect and Project Leader. Previously, he served in the Center for Computer Vision as Software Engineer for technology transfer.
